Guernsey has more than
its share of beautiful beaches where you can catch the sun while the kids
are happily building sandcastles. Or you can find a little piece of
paradise in a secluded area with nothing to interrupt your solitude but
the sound of the lapping waves or the hungry gulls.
Boat trips are
a-plenty – for fishing, for sightseeing or just for access to the other
islands. In recent years, with the accent on preservation of the
heritage, there are more bird and wildlife spotting trips available.
Recently walking tours
have been organized with the accent on history – there is a gruesome tour
of the Castle or the old town, littered with tales of ghosts and murder.
